Leading Shropshire law firm Wace Morgan has taken on two legal experts and five other members of staff as part of its expansion plan, which will see further team members recruited.

The firm, which has offices in Shrewsbury and Newtown, has brought experienced solicitors Rowena Woodhead and Paramveer Gill on board.

Rowena has joined Wace Morgan’s wills and probate team. She has been working in the Shrewsbury area since qualifying in 2001 and is a member of Solicitors for the Elderly and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

Paramveer qualified as a solicitor last year, having studied at Staffordshire University. He joins the firm’s commercial property team, with a particular focus on residential homes development.

Four new secretaries and a marketing administrator have also been taken on by Wace Morgan recently and the firm is now recruiting for two more solicitors or legal executives at its Shrewsbury and Newtown offices. Applications for  training contracts are also now being accepted from law graduates.

“We are pleased to say that although some law firms are contracting, with fears over the economy and Brexit, we are expanding as our business continues to thrive. This is good news for our clients and for the local community,” said Diana Packwood, managing director of Wace Morgan.

“We are lucky that Shropshire and mid Wales is such an attractive region to move to and our staff can enjoy a particularly good work-life balance.

“Our total staff number is now almost at 100 and will exceed this figure in 2019 as our growth continues,” Diana added.
