A Shropshire law firm is showing its support for the armed forces by hosting a special celebration.

Wace Morgan Solicitors, based in St Mary’s Street, Shrewsbury, is organising the event on June 28, ahead of national Armed Forces Day on June 30.

As part of the firm’s activities a clinic will be running at the St Mary’s Street office for current and former military personnel and their families from 10am to 4pm.

“We have a range of legal experts who specialise in armed forces issues and they will be on hand to talk to people about relevant matters,” said Keir Hirst, employment director and secretary of forces law.

“In addition there will be a cake sale in reception supporting the armed forces charity SSAFA, and we are also attending the armed forces event at Shrewsbury Sports Village on June 30th from 12.30 until 6pm.”

“As a business we have signed the Armed Forces Covenant – a promise from the nation that those who serve or have served, and their families, are treated fairly – and this is all part of our commitment,” Keir added.
